shalzera, a fantasy alphabet by nemedeus shalzera, a fantasy alphabet by nemedeus
Hm. I think I am obsessed with fantasy alphabets.

I desinged around 30 diffrent scripts for diffrent fantasy nations (even one in syllables, ca. 400 symbols), but this is still one of my favorites.

I am writing three different scripts, and I like yours. Don't worry, I'll only steal some of yours for one of them :P

Anyway, very cool. What was your inspiration? Quenya? a dream?

my insiration was mainly me always being fascinated by kallygraphy and scripts other than the latin one. and i often would just fill pages and pages of pseudoscripture with just random signs when i was younger. so these signs here are just some of the signs from my scribblings brought into an actual alphabet.

Honestly i don't do things like that much anymore, and i would appreciate people actually noticing my actual drawings more...

Thanks fr the favorite anyways, though!

Oh, and I like to use a line, like an l, for the period in all the scripts I make. The Tibetans use the line for periods and it works great.

this is an outstandingly complete (replete!) alphabet! I like how it includes symbols for most anything outside the most exotic real-life languages. Looks like it has been devised and adapted for several tongues.
And very writeable, too.

It is? You mean you actually tried it?
honestly, i myself didn't think so actually. maybe you are simply better at calligraphy than i am.
Thank you a lot, anyway.

I don't pretend I'm a master calligrapher, but it worked fine enough with a simple fountain pen when I tried. Thanks for inventing.

it's a doubled sound. like o-i. like in "toy". It's easier to pronounce when you're german like me.

Wow... how truely beautiful and I mean that in the strongest Elvin sense of the word, now there was a people that new the true meaning of beauty in all it's forms...;-) would you mind perhaps scanning a few more and posting them or emailing them directly o me at exxilon@hotmail.com as I'm composing a handwritten work of various not latin based alpha/glyphabets and would love to add some of your work to this hopefully comprehesive tome of mine... thanks

First, this wasn't scanned, but anyways.
I unfortunately don't do things like that so much anymore.
Maybe when I get around to it?

yes finding enough hours in the day to just let our creativ juices flow and take form is truely never easy... but eventually it will all bubble over and you just have to let it out.... ooooh well I just wait with baited breath and hope against hope (lol) :-P

Uhh, I actually have time like hay right now. It's a lack of creativity, really. If I weren't smart enough to know it's impossible to diagnose oneself, I would propably say I were depressed or something.

This is beautiful!

You're not the only one who makes these either. I also make them. I have hundreds.

Would love to see more of your alphabets.
